I've been building models for almost as long as I can remember. My first plastic kit was built with my Dad at the kitchen table; a Monogram 1/48 scale Avenger with folding wings, retractable landing gear, and you could "drop" the torpedo...that was cool for a kid. I later moved into armor, liking the aspect of adding figures and making dioramas to tell a story. My preferences now are 1/32 Aircraft, 54mm to 120mm figures, and WW-I/WW-II armor and dioramas. I hooked up with the IPMS-NENY gang after moving to the Albany area in 1988 and have made some really great friends and have learned a lot from the very talented members.
Although I have built a lot of models my legacy will no doubt be my fictitious multi-turreted Soviet KV-VI tank. I created this in 1997 as a joke but once posted on the Missing-Lynx website, it was picked up as history and hoax on the internet and adopted for video games, a paper model, and a 3D-printed board game piece.
