​After carrying around a couple of dozen model kits since I was in my 20’s, I think I would be considered a late bloomer, as I didn’t start seriously building models until I was 53.  Having been an avid reader of military history, and especially WW II, my interest in building kits has been an extension of that passion.  My father was a “belly” turret gunner in WW II, so the B-17 has a special meaning to me.  I will tackle that model when my skills have improved!
